California Medi-Cal Reimbursement programs

In California, Leader works with education agencies across the state to facilitate reimbursement from Medi-Cal through two programs:

• The LEA Billing Option provides reimbursement for schools that provide certain medically-necessary health-related services to students eligible for Medi-Cal. Leader facilitates the process through staff training, data capture through our web-based CAMRA system, claim submission, reconciliation, reporting, and more.
• The Medi-Cal Administrative Activities program, or MAA, facilitates Medi-Cal reimbursement for school staff that provide services in support of the state's Medi-Cal program, including outreach activities. School staff participate in three quarterly time studies through our online CATS system, which takes only minutes a day during the time study week. More...
